- Description: the label you would like to use for the mail account on your iOS device.
- On the next page, complete the fields as follows:
- IMAP/POP: this is the communication protocol your device will use with the server. IMAP is useful if you want to keep your mail synchronized between devices/computers. Mail is saved on the server, but costs storage space. If your account is full, you will no longer recieve new mail. By default accounts are given 250MB of storage space. POP on the other hand downloads the mail to your device then deletes it from the server. You will not be able to synchronize messages using this protocol, however storage space is not usually an issue.
- Name/Email/Label: The information you entered in step 6. You can make modifications now if necessary.
